The Rural Health Gap
in Cameroon
Cameroon's health system is concentrated in urban centres. Rural communities — particularly in the North West and South West regions affected by the Anglophone crisis — face a near-total absence of formal healthcare infrastructure.
Maternal mortality, preventable childhood illness, and unmanaged chronic conditions are the daily reality for millions. Our programme does not wait for the system to reach these communities — we go to them.
How We Deliver Healthcare
Our approach combines immediate care with long-term capacity building — ensuring that communities gain not just treatment today, but the knowledge and trained personnel to protect their health tomorrow.
Mobile Health Outreach
Trained health workers travel to remote villages to provide basic diagnostics, health screenings, and treatment for common conditions — reaching communities where the nearest clinic may be hours away.
Maternal & Child Health
Antenatal care, safe delivery support, postnatal follow-up, and child immunisation — reducing preventable maternal and infant mortality in communities with limited access to formal health facilities.
Community Health Education
Workshops and community sessions on hygiene, disease prevention, nutrition, and family health — building health literacy that protects entire communities, not just individual patients.
Health Worker Capacity
Training and equipping community health workers with the skills, tools, and supplies they need to provide consistent, quality care — building local capacity that outlasts our direct involvement.
