Three Programmes.
One Shared Purpose.
The Battiston Lyonga Foundation works across three interconnected areas — Youth Development, Hunger Alleviation, and Rural Healthcare — because poverty is never just one thing. Our programmes are designed to address its root causes together.
What We Do

Youth Development
Equipping the next generation with skills, mentorship, and opportunity.
Through structured mentorship, vocational training, and educational support, we invest in young people aged 14–30 in Yaoundé and surrounding communities — building the confidence and competencies they need to lead productive lives.

Hunger Alleviation
Addressing food insecurity at its root — not just its symptoms.
We distribute food parcels to vulnerable households, support smallholder farmers with inputs and training, and work with community groups to build sustainable local food systems in crisis-affected regions.

Rural Healthcare
Bringing essential health services to those furthest from care.
Mobile health outreach, maternal and child health support, and community health education — delivered in partnership with local health workers to underserved rural communities across Cameroon.
How We Work
We don't parachute in with solutions. We build relationships, listen carefully, and design programmes that communities can own and sustain. Our approach is rooted in four principles that guide everything we do.
Community-Led Design
Every programme begins with listening. We work alongside community members to understand real needs before designing any intervention.
Local Partnership
We partner with local organisations, health workers, educators, and community leaders — building capacity that outlasts our direct involvement.
Measured Outcomes
We track what we do and what changes as a result. Honest reporting — including what hasn't worked — is central to how we operate.
Dignity First
Every person we serve is treated with dignity and respect. Our programmes are designed to empower, not to create dependency.

What Our Work Has Achieved
Numbers tell part of the story. But the real measure of our work is in the lives changed, the families stabilised, and the communities strengthened.
