The WEEK-END WITH GIRLS PROJECT is an advocacy campaign towards gender equality and protection of the girls’ rights that was executed by the Women’s Empowerment and the Family Centre Buea sponsored by United Nations Development Program. The project subjected 200 girls from two age categories that is 9-15 and 16-25, residing in Buea Municipality to an intensive training in life and business skills, motivational talks, games, Quiz, cooking competition etc. with the goal of awakening their potential to take active roles in advocating for their inherent rights subsequently improving their livelihoods and the developing their communities.
